YAO Heritage was founded by designer Yaosca Jackson in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, to preserve traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary way. Each piece is handmade by artisans from Masaya, a region known for leatherwork passed down through generations.
The brand follows three simple values: respect for the people who make the pieces, care for the materials, and awareness of environmental impact. Production remains intentionally small to maintain quality and attention to detail.
YAO creates objects meant to live with their owner, not seasonal fashion, but personal pieces that gain character over time and use.
At YAO Heritage, a product is never assembled, it is made. Each belt passes through a single artisan from start to finish: cutting, shaping, punching, stitching, finishing. That continuity is not incidental. It is the point.
