The Lemu collection (often spelled Lamu after the historic Kenyan archipelago) is the soulful intersection of Swahili, Arabic, and Indian cultures.
This collection is motivated by the island’s unique status as a place where time seems to stand still where the only transport is by foot or donkey, and the craftsmanship has remained unchanged for centuries.

YAO Heritage was founded by designer Yaosca Jackson in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, to preserve traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary way. Each piece is handmade by artisans from Masaya, a region known for leatherwork passed down through generations.
The brand follows three simple values: respect for the people who make the pieces, care for the materials, and awareness of environmental impact. Production remains intentionally small to maintain quality and attention to detail.
